Voice & Data Network Analysis, Optimization & Design
- Optimize local network configurations and facility groups to reduce costs and/or increase communications efficiency
- Inventory all voice and data network services and facilities at all sites to create a working database for improved on-going network and expense management
- Analyze all bills for conformity to contracted rates & discounts, identifying Carrier over-billings & obtain back-credits and identifying unnecessary or non-applicable services
- Research tariffs to determine possible savings and/or improved services
- Optimize network facilities and configurations using industry traffic engineering principles and algorithms to properly size network facility groups thus reducing costs and increasing communications efficiency
- Provide Assessment & Recommendations for the existing voice & data networks (e.g., TDM to SIP, MPLS to SD-WAN, etc.) to improve communications functionality, reliability and network management while reducing costs
- Analyze existing or proposed Service Level Agreements (SLA) to meet the needs of the organization and/or determine SLA violations and credits
- Provide an Assessment of the existing Disaster Recovery / Avoidance and Failover plans so as to provide Recommendations and Alternatives
- Prepare and distribute a network RFP/RFQ, analyze & compare bids, assist with contract negotiations and project manage implementation
- Inventory all voice long distance products, services, facilities, call-patterns, usage by facility and expenses
- Optimize network facilities to determine proper sizing of circuits and other facilities to reduce costs and/or increase communications efficiency
- Design voice & data networks using more effective products / services to meet current and long-term requirements
- Manage, coordinate and track implementation of all recommended products and services with all appropriate vendors and carriers
- Manage & coordinate implementation of all recommended products and services with all appropriate vendors and carriers

- Using industry traffic engineering principles and algorithms, properly size “Hunt” and facility groups (e.g., PRI) to minimize costs and increase systems efficiency
- Prepare & Distribute Long Distance RFP/RFQ, analyze & compare bids, assist with contract negotiations and project manage implementation
Wireless / Cellular Expense
- Inventory all Cellular Lines, Services, Usage, Plans and Devices
- Audit and Analyze all Wireless expenses to identify billing errors and erroneous charges, inappropriate Service Plans by User and by Organization, unauthorized charges (e.g., sports scores) and incorrect contract discounts or rates.
- Review, by User, service plans, usage and device to properly assure User is meeting organization standards and policies as well as assure that they are appropriate for that User’s needs.
- Optimize Wireless services and plans to determine proper sizing for the Enterprise so as to reduce costs and/or increase communications efficiency
- Review Wireless Device types and costs to determine if discounts and technology meet the organization’s needs and discounts are similar to similarly-sized companies
- Prepare & Distribute Wireless RFP/RFQ, analyze & compare bids, assist with contract negotiations and project manage implementation
LAN / WAN Analysis & Design
- Conduct needs analysis to determine various departmental functions and software requirements
- Conduct Assessment of all existing data systems and networks associated with the LAN or WAN
- Design appropriate network structure that meets the needs of the organization within the capabilities of existing or new data systems
- Analyze existing or proposed Service Level Agreements (SLA) to meet the needs of the organization or determine SLA violations and credits.
- Prepare & Distribute Network RFP/RFQ, analyze & compare bids, assist with contract negotiations and project manage implementation
- Assist with Network Assessment (e.g., PoE, MPLS bandwidth, QOS, etc.) to support VoIP on the LAN or WAN
- Manage & coordinate implementation of the LAN or WAN with all appropriate vendors
